Data We Collect
To provide personalised daily dhikr notifications, Dhakerni collects:
- Timezone — so we can deliver notifications at the correct local time.
- Language preference — to serve content in Arabic, English, or French.
- Notification token — a device-specific identifier used solely to deliver push notifications.
What We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or sell any personal identifying information. No names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or browsing history are gathered by this application.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties. Notification tokens are transmitted exclusively to Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for the purpose of delivering dhikr reminders.
On-Device Features
Some features of the app work entirely on your device and their data is never sent to us:
- Prayer times — if you allow it, your device's location is used only to calculate prayer times on your device. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Goals, counters and custom reminders — the dhikr goals, progress and reminders you create are stored locally on your device and scheduled as local notifications.
Data Retention
Your timezone, language preference, and notification token are retained only as long as you keep notifications enabled. You may disable notifications at any time from within the app, which will remove your data from our active notification queue.
